Progreso Montessori Carnaval School Parade and Dance

Thursday, February 16th was the Progreso Montessori’s time to walk in the parade to central park and perform the dance they had been working on for weeks. After performing excellently in the dress rehearsal the night before at the school, many of the children were very nervous about performing in front of the entire town of Progreso.

There were 4 different schools performing each night of Carnaval on the main stage which was set up at the center of town. The children all gathered about 6 blocks away and then paraded towards the main park. The video below starts with the boys school and ends with another school performing. Noah starts off a little bit slow but then really gets into it! Evan is in the background and hard to see but he is really having fun and dancing away.
