The Pinata song!

Everyone sings this loud and fast when children are hitting the pinata. Here are the words:

Dale Dale Dale

Dale, dale, dale.
No pierdas el tino.
Porque si lo pierdes.
Pierdes el camino.
Ya le diste una.
Ya le diste dos.
Ya le diste tres.
Y tu tiempo se acabó.

Hit it, hit it, hit it.
Don’t lose your aim.
Because if you lose it.
You lose the way.
You hit it once.
You hit it twice.
You hit it three times.
And your time is up.

Here is a uTube Link for Tatiana’s full song version! listen carefully for the chorus, this is what everyone sings and the tune to sing it by!

Happy Birthday!

You must learn this one as every where you go, somebody is celebrating a birthday it seems:

FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS….

or another version if you need it…

Feliz cumpleaños a ti
feliz cumpleaños a ti
feliz cumpleaños querido/a(name)
feliz cumpleaños a ti.

LAS MAÑANITAS – VICENTE FERNANDEZ

This may be more than you want to know..  but in Mexico.. the birthday song they sing is not “Happy Birthday,” but “Las Mañanitas.” Here’s some info I found  along with the lyrics and a translation.

From the internet

Las Mananitas Lyrics

Happy Birthday Song in Spanish – Lyrics to Las Mananitas

Estas son las mañanitas

que cantaba el rey David

A las muchachas bonitas,

Te las cantamos así.

Despierta, mi bien, despierta,

Mira que almaneció,

Ya los pajarillos cantan,

La luna ya se metió.

Qué linda está la mañana,

en que vengo a saludarte,

Venimos todos con gusto

y placer a felicitarte,

El día en que tú naciste,

nacieron todas las flores,

El la pila del bautismo,

cantaron los ruiseñores,

Ya viene amaneciendo,

ya la luz el día nos dio,

Levántate de mañana,

Mira que ya almaneció.

Quisiera ser solecito

para entrar por tu ventana

Y darte los <>

Acostadita/o en tu cama,

Quisiera ser un San Juan,

quisiera ser un San Pedro

Para venirte a cantar

con la música del cielo,

Con jasmines y flores

hoy te vengo a saludar

Hoy por ser día de tu santo,

te venimos a cantar.

Lyricas adicional:

English Words for the Bible Inspired Spanish Happy Birthday Song

These are the little mornings

In which King David used to sing

To the beautiful girls

We’ll sing them this way.

Wake up, my dear, wake up

Look, it’s already dawning

The little birds already are singing

The moon has gone away.

How beautiful is the morning

In which I’m coming to greet you

We all are coming with joy

And are happy to congratulate you*

The day that you were born

All flowers were born too,

In the baptismal

The nightingales are singing.

Day is already breaking

And the light the day is making

Gets us up in the morning

Look, it’s already dawning.

Additional lyrics (not my translation):

The day you were born all the flowers were born

On the baptismal font the nightingales sang

I would like to be the sunshine to enter through your window

to wish you good morning while you’re lying in your bed

I would like to be a Saint John I would like to be a Saint Peter

To sing to you with the music of heaven

Of the stars in the sky I have to lower two for you

One with which to greet you and the other to wish you goodbye
