Gran Fuerza de Mexico exhibition in Merida Oct 4-28, 2013

Gran Fuerza de Mexico 30Today we went to see the major “Gran Fuerza de Mexico” exhibit near centro in Merida. What a great display for not only the kids, but for adults to learn more about the military and get up close and personal with the tanks! There was everything you ever wanted to see on display from the Mexican Armed Forces and it was a really good time. There were many different tents set up around the area with items specific to that group. The boys especially loved all the guns and had lots of questions for the military personnel on site.

This event was free and really worth going to visit. You are able to climb in and on most of the military vehichles, ask lots of questions, and take lots of pictures. Here are some of the pictures from the day. We went with our friends Landy, Francisco, Alex, Ara, Edgar and of course Joaquin on this adventure today. Merida is having all kinds of cultural events right now in the city as it is Mayan Cultural month.

Plenty to do for the kids as well at this event. There is wall climbing and ziplining all over the place. A small obstacle course to entertain the little children with some face painting happening as well.

It was a cloudy day today, but it was still over 30 degrees. I would definitely recommend an umbrella! We were always searching for little patches of shade and staying in the tents as much as possible.
