This year we took my niece, Angelica, with us to visit the Mayan ruins of Uxmal. We always like to explore the ruins with a guide, but this time we just explored on our own. I would definitely recommend going with a guide because there is so much history to each building that you cannot possibly begin to understand everything. Otherwise you are just taking a beautiful walk through some ancient ruins without knowing their purpose.
We went with our friends from Progreso and had quite a few of us along on this adventure. Once again some great pictures of the ruins.
NOTE: if you go on Sundays and have your Mexican Visa you get into most major tourist attractions at either a substantial discount or free!
